In Zukunft könnt ihr mit einem iPhone/iPad nicht mehr verloren gehen – Apple hat freundlicherweise die Nutzungsbedingungen für iTunes geändert:
Location-Based Services
To provide location-based services on Apple products, Apple and our partners and licensees may collect, use, and share precise location data, including the real-time geographic location of your Apple computer or device. This location data is collected anonymously in a form that does not personally identify you and is used by Apple and our partners and licensees to provide and improve location-based products and services. For example, we may share geographic location with application providers when you opt in to their location services.
Some location-based services offered by Apple, such as the MobileMe “Find My iPhone” feature, require your personal information for the feature to work.

Die kommt, wie Meta auch, aus der Linux-Welt und ist eigentlich keine…
haaHAAA! endlich mal wieder ne gelegenheit zur wortmeldung!
aber im ernst: alle anderen die auf mobilen plattformen enrsthaft geld verdienen wollen (nämlich mit WERBUNG, der cash cow nr 1) werden es ganz genauso machen, allen voran google/android und rim/blackberry. was die bereits so alles an userdaten nach hause funken will ich gar ned wissen. wer das net will, wird mittelfristig auf so schöne gadgets wie smartphones, tablet-pcs und mediaplayer (siehe ipod touch) komplett verzichten müssen. zumindest so lange bis die industrie endlich die retina scans flächendeckend am start hat – dann isses nämlich wurscht ob man nun durch sein gadget oder durch seine augen von den datensaugern überall hin verfolgt wird. das is mal ganz schön 1984.
