Die Journalisten Jochen Bittner und Josef Joffe (ZEIT) haben eine einstweilige Verfügung gegen das ZDF erwirkt, durch die ein Beitrag der Satiresendung “Die Anstalt” untersagt wird, in dem Verbindungen der Journalisten zu transatlantischen Lobbyverbänden dargestellt wurden.

Auch wenn der Beitrag aus der Anstalt kleinere Unrichtigkeiten aufweisen sollte, so gebührt den Machern dennoch Dank dafür, dass sie eine breitere Öffentlichkeit auf die Nähe meinungsbildender Journalisten wie Josef Joffe von der ZEIT oder Stefan Kornelius von der SZ zu Lobbyorganisationen und transatlantischen Think-Tanks aufmerksam gemacht haben.

I’m pretty sure we’re “diplomacy” people. I’m pretty sure we’re “send in the peacekeepers” people. I’m pretty sure we’re, “hey, let’s try to resolve our differences fairly, so no one gets hurt” people. I’m pretty sure we’re “save your rhetoric and give me some facts” people. That’s the Canada I lived in, anyway. Not this Orwellian vision you’re trying to convince Canadians is worth having, that isn’t in their interests, and that totally destroys the once positive role that we did play in the world. To think, we could be mediators in this conflict helping to save innocent people’s lives, instead of part of the problem and preaching groundless hate.
